National Insulator Association

Reprinted from "INSULATORS - Crown Jewels of the Wire", March 1978, page 2

Greetings to the members of the National Insulator Association and Crown Jewels of the Wire readers!

This issue of Crown Jewels marks a first for our hobby. It was voted upon by the Executive Board of the National Insulator Association at the 1977 National Convention to dispense with the printing of a membership directory and combine the NIA directory in the already well established March directory issue of Crown Jewels magazine. With an exceptional amount of extra work by your editor, Dora Harned, this job has been accomplished. The National Insulator Association is grateful to the Crown Jewels staff for their continued support of our hobby and the association.

The National Insulator Association will be subsidizing the added expense and for work involved in making this March issue available to all NIA members, subscribers and non-subscribers alike.

If you are not already a member of the National Insulator Association, I hope that you will consider joining. If you are currently a member, please note that it is now renewal time. You will find a membership application and renewal form in this issue.

If you are not currently subscribing to Crown Jewels, I hope that you will send in your subscription. Crown Jewels is the most important periodical for our hobby. Its informative articles, show information and classified ad sections make it one of the most anxiously awaited magazines by insulator collectors.

As President of the NIA, I send you my best wishes for continued enjoyment in our hobby. I encourage you to write me with any suggestions you may have concerning any aspect of furthering our hobby. The National Insulator Association stands ready to be of assistance to you.

I look forward to meeting you in Reno in July!

Good collecting,
